GradientStudios ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use TradeLens: AI Insights (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our services. This includes:

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with the app, including features used, screens viewed, session duration, and button interactions, to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (Advertising ID) for advertising purposes.
Crash and Diagnostic Data: We automatically collect crash reports, error logs, and performance diagnostics to identify and fix issues with the Service. This data may include device state at the time of the crash, stack traces, and app version.
Transaction Data: If you purchase a subscription, the payment is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive confirmation of your purchase status (active/expired) and subscription tier, but we do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including AI insights generation.
To manage your account and authentication via Google Sign-In.
To manage your subscription and access to premium features.
To show personalized advertisements via Google AdMob (free tier users).
To diagnose crashes and fix bugs using crash report data.
To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the user experience.
To respond to your support requests and questions.
To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Each service operates under its own privacy policy:

4. Advertising

Free tier users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising ID to serve personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Crash and diagnostic logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

To request account deletion: Use the in-app account deletion feature, or email us at support@gradientstudios.xyz with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our servers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@gradientstudios.xyz and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

8. GDPR (EU / EEA Users)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the following applies:

Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for (account management, AI insights delivery, subscription management).
Legitimate interests: Crash reporting and analytics to maintain and improve the Service, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
Consent: Personalized advertising via AdMob, where required by applicable law. You may withdraw consent at any time via device settings.
Legal obligation: Where required by applicable law.

Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

International data transfers: Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA, including the United States, where our third-party service providers (Google Firebase, AdMob) operate. Such transfers are carried out under appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses as approved by the European Commission.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
